I met Jean Paul in the Fall of 1999 at the November Fly tying expo in New Jersey. He came all the way from Loudeac France.
He was kind enough to send me the Fly pictured at right and the two pages of Flies you see below. Jean Paul was a very good Tier back then but much like some of the beverages his Country is known for, his tying has improved with age.

To see what Jean Paul is up to now visit his lovely web site: Montage des mouches

August 7 2005 There are 2 things for sure in life. The first is you have to see Jean Paul?s website. It is by far the most spectacular fly tying site I?ve seen. He changes it more often than I change this one and his photography and construction skills are superb. One only has to look at his section on Florican Bustard to see what I mean.
Go to Montage des mouches Click on GALERIES PHOTOS in the menu bar and under Sommaire CARNETS DE VOYAGES (First row of pictures) click on the picture of the Florican Bustard. Unbelievable!
The other sure thing is Jean Paul is still tying Beautiful and Flawless Flies. Shown below are the latest pictures he has sent. Click on the thumbnails below to enlarge the picture:
