Fabrizio Gajardino is a new friend from Italy. He began Fly Fishing in 1982. From the beginning he took a great interest in fly tying. Through the years he developed his skills, tying more and more difficult and unusual flies, and reaching the top with Atlantic Salmon Flies.
In the past few years he took part in
Mustad Scandinavian Open Fly Tying Competition winning the challenge "Open" in 1997 and the challenge "Dry Flies" in 2001.
His production goes from fishing flies to "Fully Dressed" ones, from Terrestrials to Bugs, to personally dressed and unusual flies.
Fabrizio's web site GAJAFLIES FLY TYING is scripted in English as well as Italian. When visiting his site?s pages you will find a non-typical collection of flies, among which you will find some wonderful ones, tied with the utmost care to each detail, with the specific purpose of fishing. When you see his Salmon Flies you will really appreciate his skill as a Fly Dresser. For the last couple of years he has been a contributor to "Sedge & Mayfly" magazine and "Art of Angling Journal".
