Steve Burks is a new friend that I met due to his most excellant web site devoted to Salmon and Steelhead flies. It's a site completey dedicated to fly tying and well worth a trip. Click on SALMONFLY.NET to take a look. There are close to1000 Steelhead, Pacific Salmon, Feather-wing and Hairwing Atlantic Salmon, Sea-run Cutthroat, and Saltwater flies on this site with photos, patterns, and instructions.

Steve is pictured at right along with his two darling daughters, holding a bright Chinook Salmon he decided would make a good dinner for his family. From what I can gather about Steve he is a very family oriented, hard working man whos has a deep love for flyfishing and fly tying. His motivation for constructing his site is to share not just his but anyone willing to offer their knowledge with all who are interested. We could sure use a few more Steve Burkes in this world.
