My name is Mallory Guidry. I am 6 years old. I live in Galliano, Louisiana with my mommy and daddy Bud and Darla Guidry. You can see their picture down and to the left. My daddy is a fun person to hang around with because he is always doing something interesting. I like to draw the best and daddy says I am just like him when he was my age. I like to do all kinds of fun things with daddy. I have some pictures for you to look at to see some of my fun things I have to do and see some of the pictures I?ve drawn. I?ve drawn lots of picture but I don?t have too many digital photographs that I can send to Uncle John right now. I also tie flies with daddy. He does that a lot and I think he thinks that is the most fun thing he does. He?s pretty good at it but I think I can tie prettier ones as soon as I get a good fly tying vice of my own. I don't have money yet so I guess I'll just have to use daddy's old Danica even though it's a pedestal until I get the one I want.
Here's my mommy and daddy in the picture to the left. That was taken at our Parish's Mardi Gras celebration. Mommy and Daddy were the King and Queen this year. They had a good time even though they made daddy wear a funny hat. They got to ride on a float and everybody had fun. We had lots of candy and such beautiful jewelery I have to wear when I play dress up now.
I have some pictures to show you so you can see where I live and some other things I have to do here. I have the pictures numbered so I can tell you about them. Picture #1 below is a picture of my home. It's really nice and big with lots of things to do. Picture #2 is our swimming pool. It gets really hot here in southern Louisiana so I spend a lot of time in the pool with my family and friends. Picture #3 is what my daddy calls his Baby. I know he's just fooling because I know I'm his baby. He does take me for rides on it. I think the most fun of all is picture #4. That's daddy's Mud Boat. It's a tiny little boat with a car motor in it and a special propeller that lets you drive the boat even though there is nothing but wet dirt to go in. It's fun but I don't go with daddy when he goes into the swamp at night. Sometimes the boat breaks down (quite often lately) and you don't want to spend the night in the swamp on a boat that won't run if you know what I mean. Below are pictures 1 through 4. Pictures #5 & #6 are of some wooden ducks daddy carved. It was something he did for fun a while ago and he was really good at it. The ducks looked just like they were alive. Daddy entered them into some contests and won a bunch of pretty ribbons and stuff. Picture #7 is Jean Thibidou. He's my daddy's best friend (besides me) and they do a lot of fun things together. Daddy calls Uncle Jean a Crazy Cajun. I don't know what that means but he is a lot of fun to be around. The picture is when Uncle Jean came over to tie flies with daddy. Daddy asked him where his fly tying tools were and Jean held up that silly knife and toenail clippers. Daddy laughed and laughed. Daddy used to tie all his flies in the kitchen. Mommy wasn't too happy about that. She loves daddy but she doesn't like not being able to use her kitchen. Picture #8 is daddy's new place to tie flies. Now he can have all his treasures close at hand and have all his pretty flies in display boxes on the shelves. It's a nice place for daddy to tie his flies and some times he lets me tie one all by myself. Maybe Daddy will take a picture of one I did and we can show you too. Sometimes I just sit in there with daddy and draw pictures. Daddy and I both love to draw. Picture #9 is a picture my daddy drew.
This is where I get to show you the pictures I have made. It's one of my favorite things to do. I just don't have many pictures of my pictures to show you. Maybe I'll go wake daddy up and have him take some more pictures. Just click on them to make them larger:![]()
I'm going to use letters instead of numbers for my pictures. Picture A is a whale but I don't think I really had to tell you that.
