I guess I've known Ed for about 15 years or so. In fact he kind of blames me for some of his obsession for tying Salmon Flies. I was tying (attempting) a Baron at The Midwest Fly Fishing Exhibition and apparently this young man who didn't have enough sense to avert his eyes turned out to be Ed. He has long since moved to Connecticut where he is now neighbors with Roger Plourde and Paul Rossman. Ed was one of the attendees at the Pine Meadow House get together in February this year. I was afraid Ed and his darling wife Kim were going to pee their pants, they were laughing so hard at the antics of Don Colman and Gordeaux Chesney.
Not only does Ed tie beautiful flies he has a nose for fine materials and has supplied several pictures features in the Materials Slideshow. He has found incredibly beautiful old bird mounts from estate sales he has been able to uncover.
Ed is going to supply a Bio but don't hold your breath it's taken him a year of my hounding him just to send these pictures.

August 14 2005 I would normally show these in the Materials Slideshow but it might be a couple weeks until I will make the change. I just had to show you a few of Ed's recent acquisitions. They are stunning:
