This is the Deluxe Display Box with Red Oak Base.

My friend and fellow retiree, John Coumoundouros, is as whacked out about wood and woodworking as I am about feathers and fly tying. Together we have come up with a reasonably priced Deluxe base. He cuts them I finish them and include the deluxe box and dots. You supply the fly. Currently Red Oak, stained Natural and Red, is the wood currently available but soon Cherry.

I'm also working on a Limited Edition Rock Slab Base These are slabs of various rocks cut by my Dad. His hobby was Rocks and Lapidary. I have quite a collection as one of his favorite sayings was "The best place to Rock hound is another Rock hound's basement". I took that to heart over the years. I picked out the pieces I liked that I would try and find a way to incorporate them into Salmon Fly display. They show best when looking down from above (table top) rather than side view on a book shelf.
