Dyed White Turkey Tails

Jan_2010_dyed_white_turkey

As you see in the picture above I try to show the difference between grades A and B. The quality has steadily improved since I began the venture. There will still be marks, very minor stress or slight damage in ares not important to our task in the A grade but they are for the most part very nice feathers. Barb length is in excess of 3" on the long side for both grades and tend to be nice and narrow right up next to the rachis and as always they are exact matched pairs. My good friend Charlie Chute looked at them  while we were at Tying Symposium in Somerset last November. His comment was: "Lad, these are #*%*#^% beautiful" Need I say more?

B Grade are feathers from the same birds except they have noticeably more damage. Click on Feather Detail for a size and quality close up comparison. All are exact matched pairs (opposite side, corresponding feathers from the same bird) that should be long enough to wing 7/0 hooks. Your satisfaction is guaranteed. I continue to add new colors so if there is some color you want and don't see it please let me know and I'll do what I can. John@FeathersMc.com
