Kelson Formula Head Cement

Here is another "Authentic" material from our Friend Bill Bailey. This is the head cement described by George M Kelson and considered to be the ultimate head cement of the period. Bill has used the Egyptian Asphalt thinned with Spirits of Gum Turpentine in the proper ratio to give us the same deep incredibly shiny substance the old masters used on their flies. Click Bodkin to see a close up of the bodkin point from the picture above. I didn't have an unfinished fly head to show how good it covers so I just dipped the bodkin and let it dry.
Both the Head Cement and Thinner are in 1 oz Glass Bottles with Poly Seal Caps. Unfortunately neither product can be shipped via Airmail due to their flammable contents, they must be shipped via ground transportation. That also means I can't send either overseas.
Select Head Cement or Thinner using the Size and Price indicator below.
