Lagartun X STRONG Thread

This is by far the absolutely best thread I've found. I suspect it will be my thread of choice for more than just Salmon Flies as it simply out performs any thread I've used to date. It has all the excellent properties of the UTC 70 plus it doesn't fray out at the edges and it is much stronger. It's is rated at 74 Denier but acts thinner than that. It has great strength but cuts easily. I don't find it at all slippery like gel-spun. I haven't put wax on it yet but a few friends are testing it for me. I know Bud Guidry and Jamie Daley like it very much. It comes in Black and White on 100 yard spools. The only problem it is terribly expensive compared to what we are used to. $5 for a spool of thread? I guess when we can justify the cost of all the other things we hang on an expensive hook it's really a small price to pay to use the very best.
