Rooster Body Hackle

Great Throats and Body Joint Hackles. As you can see from the picture above, the soon to be famous Mr Daly of Franklin, PA has offered an exceptional example of one of the uses of these feathers. This is what he had to say when he sent me the picture of Niagara.
John, Here's the finished product. Never thought Chicken body feathers would make me so happy!!
-Jamie
Thanks Jamie, the fly is beautiful.
You will get a 4" x 6" bag with a good handful of assorted feathers (as much as Linneya could stuff in) you can click on Sample for an idea of what you will receive. The hooks visible in the picture are not included and are only for reference but I was quite pleased with the results. I did not think these would be suitable for hackling a whole body (just throats and joints). Click on Hackled Hooks to see a close up. Also note I've put 5 wraps on them and under normal circumstances (starting it from the second rib) I would usually use 4 wraps with an extra turn at the throat.
